Dear readers,

We would like to inform you about the progress of our ERASMUS+ project “TAURUS”. TAURUS enables Master students from China, Russia and EU countries to visit leading universities to learn about sustainable development of megacities. TAURUS brings together industry, universities and students to enhance the employability of students.

  1. Special Situation during the COVID-19 pandemic

The TAURUS project was affected by the Corona pandemic like every aspect of life since the beginning. Team meetings, short intensive courses, internships and professional trainings had to be cancelled, shifted towards online services or utilized social distancing with testing to be held in person. But with short interruption TAURUS members could adapt to the new circumstances and ongoing project activities could be maintained. TAURUS partners were able to participate in, then online, conferences to present their research on megacities.

  1. TAURUS platform for internships

In March 2021 our TAURUS partners of the Peoples Friendship University Moscow (RUDN) have launched the new innovative multi-functional internship platform, where universities and industry partners can advertise and present their international internship offerings to students. It simplifies the application process for students, universities and companies in creating a joint place for internships. Students will be selected based on contest from professional skills, language proficiency and motivation. Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, internships can now be held virtually or in person.

TAURUS news and registration form

In January 2021 the TAURUS website received an update: with the new News section visitors can quickly find announcements and short reports on TAURUS partners’ activities.

Furthermore, in February 2021 the professional trainings subpage has now a new implemented registration form for professional training offers from TAURUS universities. It simplifies the registration process by guiding all applications via the TAURUS website.
